John Richardson joined State Security in June 2001 as Director of Investigations and Security Officers. Previously, John was a partner in his own private investigation firm where he established a reputation for high quality investigations in a number of areas. He is an Honorably Discharged Army Veteran with eleven years of military service and he served thirteen years as a Roanoke City Police Officer.

John is a graduate of the Police Academy in Roanoke, VA and has received extensive specialized training related to security and investigative studies. His law enforcement experience has helped him establish valuable contacts and relationships and has given him insight, which benefits our customersJohn is a certified Law Enforcement Instructor and teaches private investigations and security officer training courses. He is a proven leader known for his tenacity, investigative intuition and integrity. He has been recognized for his professional accomplishments in both the military and law enforcement fields.
